Message from Pastor Leo
The gospel of John starts with the
declaration: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.” But before this first
great chapter ends, we’re going to hear Nathaniel say, “Rabbi, thou art the Son
of God: thou art the King of Israel.”
What happened in between these two statements is what should be
happening in your life and my life.
Because when we seek God in truth, God reveals himself to us. When we trust Him, He becomes trustworthy to
us. And when we give our lives to Him, He
uses us to bring others to Him. For He
is everything, and the only thing, we need.
Peter tells us, Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the
knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath
given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the
knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given
unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be
partakers of the divine nature, (in other words the nature of God) having escaped
the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4 As
you and I read our Bibles every day, we should be growing; our relationship
with Jesus should be getting stronger. But
we have to also remember that the power of growth and change doesn’t come from
us, the power is always in God. And
when you present Jesus to your friends and family, don’t get hung up on your
delivery or try to memorize a speech. Use
the power of God; the Word of God.
The word of God is alive and powerful.
And I’ll bet you anything that if you tell your friends more about Jesus
and who He is and you use the scriptures you’ll see more results. Just
say what the Bible says: Jesus is the
Messiah and He’s come to die for the sins of the world. And then read scripture to apply God’s power
to your words. So shall My word be
that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall
accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent
it. Isaiah
55:11 So
keep reading your Bible. Be filled with
the power of God through His Word. Normally
I’d close right there. But today I want
to ask you to pray about something. On
July 7th I’m going to Israel again, and I’d like you to come with
me. Now, I know it’s short notice but
the details for this trip have just come together. 2008
is the 60th anniversary of Israel becoming a nation. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country
be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Isaiah 66:8
Israel fulfilled this prophecy
sixty years ago and I’m going to celebrate with my friends and family – and I
want you to come with me. It’s going to
be unlike any other trip to Israel. Yes,
we will tour the country and have Bible studies at all the historical
sites. But what makes this trip special
is that I’m going to introduce you to my friends. After more than twenty trips to Israel I’ve gotten to know a lot
of people and we’re going to celebrate with them, minister to them, and tell
them about Jesus. I’ve
got a brochure I want to send you. Call
me at 800.705.8944 or send me an e-mail and I’ll send you a copy today. Remember,
one of the things God tells us about Israel, “I will bless those who bless
you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families
of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3 So start
praying about this today. Ask God if
this is the time for you to bless His people in His Land. And then call or e-mail and get a copy of
this brochure (800-705-8944). Come
to Israel with me. It will change your
life.
May the Lord Jesus Christ Be Magnified!
