Read Your Bible: 1 Hour A Day!
If you have listened to any number of Pastor Leo's radio messages you have heard him say to read your Bible! The only way to have a close relationship with God is to know His Word and that means you have to read it and hear it. Pastor Leo at the beginning of every year has his church, Mission Valley Christian Fellowship, start in the book of Matthew rather than Genesis. As many people can get lost and frustrated starting from the beginning and starting in the New Testament is easier to start with. Each of our Bible Reading Plans start in Matthew.
Why Read Your Bible?
God's Word is alive, while many have thought that it doesn't hold true to today's world it in fact does! You will be amazed at what God will reveal to you as you spend time reading His Word. The more you expose yourself to the Bible, the more God will reveal of Himself to you.
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17 By hearing and reading God's Word your faith increases.
“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God." Luke 8:11 By reading your Bible daily you are using the seed of God's Word to help you grow spiritually
"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." John 17:17 If you don't know God's Word how can you know if someone is speaking truth? You may be wasting time on lesser things!
Read some of what the Bible says about knowing God's Word.
